Images of the Chinese Navy's (PLAN) sole & first aircraft carrier - Liaoning appear on China's national TV, on her maiden operational voyage along with a nuclear submarine (Type 094 SSBN), a frigate , and a destroyer forming part of the carrier battle group, making Liaoning the most formidable non-American carrier aviation battle groups in the world. J-15 fighters form the air component of the carrier.
