An Indian Air Force MiG-21 fighter aircraft crashed in Rajasthan's Barmer, but both pilots managed to eject safely
The aircraft - MiG-21 T 69 trainer , had taken off from Uttarlai airbase near Barmer, around 12.15 pm, on a routine exercise and after developing a technical snag, caught fire and exploded.
Incident has been confirmed by the IAF and a court of inquiry has been ordered. No reported damage to civil or service property.
The debris of the aircraft scattered in 2-3 kms area on sand dunes. There is no news of any casualty.
