Myanmar Army Chief Meets Future Indian Army Chief

The Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Myanmar Defence Service and Commander-in-Chief, Myanmar Army, Vice Senior General Soe Win visited the Eastern Command HQ in Fort William, Kolkata, today.
The Eastern Army Commander, Lt Gen Dalbir Singh in his interaction with the Myanmar Chief, discussed issues concerning security, enhancing of military ties between the armies and other issues of mutual interest between the two countries.

General Win accompanied by his wife are on a six-day visit to India starting Tuesday. The dignitaries left for New Delhi in the evening. The visit will go a long way in cementing relations between the two countries.

In the past, I had served in Special Frontier Force and during that tenure took part in operations in Mizo Hills and Arunachal Pradesh and we had peaceful and friendly relationships with Myanmar. Lt Gen Dalbir Singh Suhag had also served in Special Frontier Force between April 2009 and March 2011. I wish for friendly relationships between India and Myanmar. Thanks for sharing this picture.
