IAF's Paramotor Team Flagged-In!!

A Flag-in ceremony presided over byAir Marshal JN Burma, Air Officer in-charge Administration was held atDirectorate of Adventure, Air Force Station, Race Course to welcome the teamwhich covered 55 Kms on Paramotor from Mundra to Jamnagar crossing Bay of Kutchon 18 Dec 2011.

This extraordinary feet in Aerosports setsa new service record as the previous one was Army’s 12 Km flight in AgatiIslands, Lakshadweep.

The attempt was undertaken by an avidaero sportsman Wing Commander Ramakant of the Directorate of Air ForceAdventure along with supporting crew of Sergeant Yadav and Corporal RamMehar. Wing Commander Ramakant is aqualified instructor on Powered Hand Glider, Paramotor, Paraglider andParasailing and holds 02 National records in Powered Hang Gliding and has alsobeen awarded the “Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award 2008” for hisoutstanding achievements in the Field of Aero Sports.
